To the south of Ayrshire with beautiful sea views across to Ailsa Craig and Arran lies Culzean Castle, designed by Robert Adams. This is a must see attraction, hailed as the ‘Jewel in the Crown’ by the Scottish National Trust. Dubbed “Scotland in Miniature”, the Isle of Arran packs a punch and gives the best of what Scotland has to offer in one stunning location. Sitting astride the Highland Boundary Fault, giving rise to the spectacular scenery - coastal and inland it offers opportunities for some excellent walking and cycling, local food & drink - it also has its own distillery. Cumbrae is also known for cycling but in this case not too strenuous as this lovely little island is very flat!
